Published by the French press Éditions l’Entretemps, Over the Channel is a bilingual publication documenting the ZEPA project – a four-year cycle of artistic exchange linking nine partners in England and France. As its flagship activity, the project commissioned two large-scale outdoor arts performances – Barricade, made by NoFit State Circus, and Waterlitz, by the French collective Generik Vapeur.
Two writers – myself and the French author Marc Villemain – were commissioned to follow the creation and performance of these two projects, and to write the core texts of a book reflecting on the artistic activities of ZEPA.
